Is ATAG recognized by GES?

Yes, ATAG was recommended by GES to CAGD in 2018 to enable it take dues from members. ATAG was also mentioned in the GES during the campaign for paying teachers’ arrears in 2020.

Does Minister of Education recognize ATAG?

ATAG was part of the sponsors who were honored by MOE for sponsoring the Ghana Teacher Prize in 2019.

What about NTC and the rest?

By far, the most consistent institution that recognize ATAG by principle is NTC. ATAG is part of the sponsors of the Ghana Teachers Prize and also member of some NTC committees. ATAG is recognised and attend meetings of National Inspectorate Board, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCa), UNESCO, Ghana Teachers Task Force, Institute of Africa Education, Labour Department, National Labour Commission, etc

When did ATAG become a recognized union?

ATAG became a recognized registered union in 2016. The same year ATAG was incorporated by Registrar General’s Department and raise to the union status by law by the Labour Department.

Does ATAG have constitution and structures?

Yes. ATAG has a constitution that has been accepted by the Labour Department as a working constitution. ATAG has National Executive Council comprising Chairman, Vice, Secretary, Treasurer and Administrative Officer, Regional Executives and District executives.

Is ATAG democratic?

ATAG’s structure allows for democracy. Congress is the highest decision body. Our constitution allows us to elect national leaders through the congress. The congress comprises all national, regional and district executives.

How much is ATAG dues and funds?

ATAG’s dues is ¢15 monthly and our fund is a welfare fund and it’s ¢25. Our total contribution in all amount to ¢40.

Does ATAG give loan?

Yes. ATAG gives loan at 8% annual interest rate for all active members

How much amount can one access if he or she is a member?

A member with a good standing can access up to ¢20,000 depending on your affordability and welfare fund contribution.

Can I increase my welfare fund contribution?

Yes. You are at liberty to increase your welfare fund contribution to any amount of your choice.

ATAG’s 8% annual interest rate is not realistic, it’s a scam?

ATAG’s 8% annual interest is very realistic and working. There’s no scam in anything. In any case controller doesn’t deal with scammers. Besides, ATAG is not a financial institution but a complete welfare union.

How can someone join ATAG?

You can join ATAG through the www.gogpayslip.com through the change of association dialogue box. There you will select ALL TEACHERS ALLIANCE GHANA and continue with the prompts.

Where can locate ATAG national office?

ATAG’s national office is in Accra adjacent Marshall University College and opposite the Odorkor Police MTTU

Do the regionals have offices?

ATAG for now do not have physical official offices at the regions. We only have virtual offices with regional executives very active in liaising with members. All related applications including loans are available on our website.

Why don’t GES copy letters or invite ATAG to meetings?

GES is just using administrative discretion to exclude ATAG which by far can be described as unfair Labour practices of discrimination and relegation. ATAG is using the NLC and Court to compel GES to invite or copy us letters.
